A Question About Loved Ones

A question that many people ask is:

What happens to your relatives if you are saved? How can you live in heaven knowing that people you love are burning in hell?

To answer this question, it is important to understand how God judges people.

I have said before that people who read the Bible, the Quran, or the Torah will be judged according to their knowledge. Once you read the holy books, you become responsible for the truth that you have received. If you know the commandments but refuse to live according to them, there is no reason for God to save you because you knew the truth and chose not to act upon it.

I also want to correct something I said in a previous video. I mistakenly said that believers are judged by their conscience. What I meant was that unbelievers are judged by their conscience.

Every person knows what is right and wrong. Even without reading the Bible or the Quran, people know what sin is because God's laws are written on their hearts.

An unbeliever who does what is right and follows his conscience can be saved. In fact, an unbeliever may have a greater chance of being saved because, on the Day of Judgment, he will not be held accountable for knowledge that he never received.

This is how my father was saved. He was a good person who lived according to his conscience. He was a highly moral person, but he did not believe in God. God saved him because he did not know that he needed to be washed from his sins.

Many Christians say that all unbelievers are deceived and that only Christians will be saved. However, I found in the Bible what God had already told me: unbelievers are judged by their conscience, while believers are judged by the knowledge they have received.

How to Be Saved

I have already explained how to get to heaven.

You must live according to the commandments of Jesus, especially those found in Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7.

You must apply those commandments in your life, receive the Spirit of Jesus, and be born again.

After that, Jesus will give you a task, and you must carry out that task.

Salvation is difficult because it requires obedience, commitment, and a willingness to live according to God's will.

The Salvation of Your Household

A man named Jacob from England asked me:

"What will happen to my father? How will I be able to enjoy heaven knowing that my father is in hell?"

The answer is that you can save your parents.

If you receive the Spirit of Jesus and complete the process that God has laid before you, you are not the only one who will be saved. Your entire household can be saved — your father, your mother, your brother, and your sister.

Even if they are sinners, even if they never come to God themselves, God can save a household because one person within that household came to Him.

This principle appears in Scripture.

Consider the story of the short man in Jericho. While many people wanted salvation, one man climbed a tree because he wanted to see Jesus face to face. Jesus extended His hand to that man and declared that salvation had come to his house.

If you become the person who truly seeks Jesus, meets Him face to face, and follows His commandments, your household can be saved as well.

Perhaps God saved my father because He knew that I would one day come to Jesus. Perhaps God saved my father and mother because He intended to keep His promise.

Bringing People to God

The reason your household can be saved is because, after meeting Jesus, you will be given the task of bringing other people to God.

Throughout your life, you will bear fruit for God.

The people you bring to God will cover many of your sins.

Bringing someone to God does not mean convincing them to join a church or adopt a religious label.

Many Christians believe they have brought someone to God because they convinced a Muslim to become Christian.

Many Muslims believe they have brought someone to Allah because they convinced a Christian to become Muslim.

That is not what it means.

A person is brought to God when he begins living according to God's commandments.

If someone starts living according to Jesus' commandments because of your influence, then you have brought that person to Jesus.

The change must be real. It must transform the person's life.

If you meet Jesus face to face and receive the will of God, you will bring many people to Him throughout your life.

Those people will not only help cover your sins but also the sins of your household.

This is one way that God saves families.

If you are worried that your parents will end up in hell, then begin living according to Jesus' commandments, receive His Spirit, discover His will, and devote yourself to bringing people to God.

What Happens After Death

Death does not feel like death.

When your body dies, your soul leaves it. You may feel pain while dying, but then the pain disappears. You stand up, believing you have recovered, only to discover your body lying behind you.

The important question then becomes: Where are you going?

Will you rise upward, or will you descend?

As soon as you leave your body, something extraordinary happens.

You begin thinking like God.

The truth opens before you.

You immediately understand what is right and what is wrong.

You understand sin. You understand righteousness.

When I was shown hell, I saw many people there. Not one of them believed they had been judged unfairly.

They hated God. They screamed at God.

Yet none of them claimed they were innocent.

They knew why they were there.

They remembered their lies, their thefts, their deception, and every unrighteous act they had committed. They understood that they deserved their punishment.

The Mind of God

When a person enters the spiritual realm, he receives the mind of God.

If you are saved and enter heaven, you will understand what sin truly is and why it is evil.

I believe that if you are saved, you can go and see who is in hell.

If you were to see your father there, you would immediately know everything about him.

You would know how he lived. You would know every sin he committed. You would know why he was there.

This knowledge comes instantly.

All you have to do is look at a person, and everything about that person's life becomes known.

Even if there were billions of people, I could look at each one and instantly know everything about them.

If you looked at your father in hell, you would understand why he was there. Because you would possess the mind of God, you would know that his judgment was just.

You would not pity him.

Even more surprisingly, he would not pity himself.

He would know why he was there. He would understand his punishment. He would acknowledge that the judgment was fair.

He would tell you not to pity him because he deserved to be there.

That is how justice operates in the spiritual realm.

A Warning About Knowing Jesus

If you want to save your parents, begin living according to Jesus' commandments.

Meet Jesus face to face. Receive the will of God. Complete the mission He gives you.

In doing so, both you and your household can be saved.

A man described what happened when he died after suffering a heart attack in 1998.

He said that the moment you die, everything becomes clear. Your senses become sharp. Your hearing becomes sharp. Your sight becomes sharp. You immediately know where you are going.

He said he found himself on the way to hell.

He had been a serious Christian. He was not living in obvious sin.

Yet he realized that he had been serving himself rather than serving Jesus.

His message was simple:

Merely believing in Jesus is not enough. Merely avoiding sin is not enough.

You must love Jesus. You must live for Jesus. You must care about His kingdom. You must know Him personally.

Either Jesus becomes your life, or you do not have life.

Because when you die, one of two things will happen:

Either you know Jesus, and He knows you — or He will say:

"Go away. I never knew you."
